Default MARC Technical Tip Question

In Roger Kauffman's Technical Tip section of Model A News (Nov-Dec 2010), He suggests oiling, "the metal pin [that] the ignition points pivot on in the distributor."
Can someone post a picture of exactly where he's referring to?

Thanks
Leo

Leo, I think this is the spot you're asking about. Clyde

I don't have a clearer picture, but I'll try to explain. There are two parts to the points on a car's ignition; the stationary side, and the moving side operated by the distributor's cam. On the moving side is a pivot pin that it uses, and this is the oil point refered to in the above message.

I hope this makes sense.

I know it kinda sucks but if you click on the picture then hold the ctrl button down and hit the + key it should be larger. If you have a parts catalog they have the pic in there. Clyde

I'm sure you have replaced points right?

OK, on the base there is a post or peg that that sticks up and the points slide over. Oil there.

Oil the post where the breaker arm pivots.
