Default 1941-48 Convertible windshield help

I'm working on a 1947 Mercury Convertible and I'm ready to install the windshield. Can someone tell me if the convertible has a different center division bar than a closed roof car or will this one work? I do have a brass bar that came with some parts I picked up and I believe to be for the car but I'm unsure of what parts to use.
Thanks,

Jeff

You do use the inside brass bar, and I believe all external 41-48 stainless bars are the same for all body style.

Convertibles use a slightly different set of windshield gaskets and trim. I found that out when it came time to put new glass in my '47 convertible. The parts books showed different numbers for open and closed cars, but the vendor assured me they were now all the same, and we had to redo the job to get he corners to fit. Ford convertible bodies were made by a supplier to Ford, and are different in many ways from closed cars. Don't let anyone tell you they are all the same.
