Default Clip on wheel weight question

I mounted a new tire on my new powder coated Vintiques wheel, the stick on wheels weights fell off, I want to use clip on weights, but they seem to come in about 10 or more styles "p", "aw","mcs" etc. Seems like when I had my steel wheels balanced in 1964 there was only one kind. l have a bubble type balancer, and need to do four more wheels. Does anyone know what style weight I can use?, my wheel is just a copy of the original 1941 Ford passenger car wheel.

As you probably already know, the clip and weight body are designed to fit particular wheel flange profiles. The hard powder coat may be keeping the clip from biting in to the surface, unlike paint.

Do you have the profile that fits the wheel? If you haven't already, try closing the clip with a light tap on the back side.

Only hit it on with ONE lick, after closing up the clip. No guarantee as to the scratching of the coating, though.

There is a weight that has a coated clip, but that's mainly for resisting dissimilar metal corrosion.

I've balanced literally thousands of coated truck wheels without losing weights.

You might do a search for BADA wheel weights for a profile chart.

I think these are the clip on type. Can't see why they would not work as they "wrap" around the rim's edge and should contour to your rim also. Installed on backside of wheel only.
Wheels are 1949-51 Ford pick up painted Vermillion Red Acrylic Enamel NAPA color formula number 99N 8021.

Do a search for innovativebalancing - they use special beads that are put in tube or tubeless tires and special valves - my tires are always balanced no matter how many holes I may hit. Check it out ....

TomT Has the answer. I had lots of trouble on my 33 coupe. I tried the beads and would never go back to weights. They work perfect.
