Why don't you make your steering column longer and set in the rumble seat. That way you can tell everyone you have a convertible. That way you won't hear the electric fan when it kicks in. Just my humble opinion.

I got kicked in the Butt by my Father so often that I have no feeling lift in that area so broken springs are no problem at all. (I knew there would be a positive outcome from all that Butt kicking)
