Default Driving Uncle Oscar

This is the '46 tonner I bought last fall. I have been putting all my time into my woodie project but I dearly love the tonner pickups. Today I just had to fire up Uncle Oscar and take a few laps around the sawmill and the back 40....I have a long and sordid history with tonner pickups and the jailbars just bring it out. Uncle Oscar has a badly cracked block so all the coolant ends up in the oil so I gave up on coolant and just opted for short trips..... I have a good running 8ba that I am gonna transplant into this beater. I have a clear title, a complete brake package and a '46 license plate that actually matches the title , so expect to see me heading into town on a weekend afternoon in this POS.

To the dismay of those who have spent buku bucks on their trailer queens, Uncle Oscar will draw the crowds!

The guys I bought it from inherited it from their Uncle Oscar and Uncle George. Uncle Oscar bought it for their farming operation near Silverdale Washington, but with his hunchback he found he couldn't drive it. Therefore Uncle George drove it, but Uncle Oscar owned it. It sat under a maple tree covered with moss since 1976 til the nephews listed it on CL. I watched it for almost 4 months until it was in my range.

I'm thinking they got a lower trailer at some point. I noticed in the first photo you can see the rear half of pickup cab I cut off to make the woodie wagon. It's leaned up against the 'tiny house' my son was building. Then he moved to Seattle and lives on an old sailboat. Pretty much a tiny house on the water...... Kids.

I took a one ton pickup to a car show I happened to be passing by in a big mall parking lot about 6 years ago. 55 chevys and impalas... Yawn. Nobody would get out of their lawn chairs to answer some questions I had about cooling etc. That was my first and last car show. You guys answer questions way better and are way more friendly.
