Default Rear view mirror paint color

What is the correct color for the rear view mirror for a 38 Std. and a 40 deluxe? Need to paint both of them.

Thanks in advance,

Bob L.

I used what was sold to me as Briarwood Brown on my 40 DeLuxe rear view mirror. See photo in posting #7 here. Not so sure it's correct as I thought Briarwood brown was darker.

However, here's a photo of an original mirror and it's old chipping paint. Not sure if it's for a Deluxe or a Standard. The Benny Bootle book, The 1940 Ford Book: A Compendium of Current Restoration Practices published in 1987 by The early Ford V-8 Club of America says on page 3-15 that the DeLuxe rearview mirror is painted medium brown. On page 3-14 the same book says that the Standard rear view mirror is painted dark brown and the Standard dash is painted Briarwood Brown. I know this rear mirror question has been asked before and hope someone will post a photo of genuine Briarwood Brown.
