I would like to place a complete rear bumper (like the front) on my 31 Roadster pickup. I am in need of photos of different ways to do this.
Can you help. Thanks for all the great information in this site. Henry's 31

Henry,
I also have a '31 roadster pickup. You seem to be directing your question to roadster pickups. Is there any reason you didn't ask about pickups? Charlie Stephens Last edited by Charlie Stephens; 03-10-2016 at 11:56 AM. |

Hi Fred:
I was surprised with your answer. Did not know it was a requirement to place information in that section. In any case I found it and filled information. I hope this will help in sharing information? I appreciate all I have learned from this site, and those willing to share information to help keep our beloved A's on the road.

I recently installed a rear bumper on my 31rpu, because i couldn't dismiss the idea of the fenders and tailgate out there so exposed to damage.
I also added a rumble step plate on each side, to allow for easier bed access. |

Get the idea? No a location is not a requirement that I have seen but, you never know if help is around the corner if no one knows what corner you are on. Since you have added your location I see you a couple of hours south of Mike's Afordable. Give Mike a call and see if he can help you out. He would also have the parts you need and could show you in person how they attach as I beleive he also does restorations.

Could you post a picture of how the step plates are mounted? That sounds like a really good idea.

If the truck is driven, the bumper is a good idea. doesn't take much of a hit to put a buckle in the top of the fender. Those are tough to fix correctly. Mine are not extended, the tailgate will drop straight down making it easier to load and unload.

Hi Henry,
I think the 2 short bumpers suits the pick up, but each to his own.
