Default Modern Paint Code for 1940 Ford Maroon

Getting ready to make final decision on the exterior paint for my 40 Ford project. The car was originally the Mandarin Maroon color. Has anybody recently painted this color and what modern paint and paint code did you use??? I would like a base coat / clear coat but am open to whatever gives best results with todays paint.
I am not painting it myself , but want to give the paint shop guy some ideas on what to use.
Any ideas are appreciated from those that have recently had your car painted.

going through this with my fathers '35 pickup with Dearborn blue. Answer: pick a color you like thats close and call it Madarin Maroon and save yourself some headaches. no one will ever know. He's using PPG Concept paint. Acrylic Urethane. if it were me i wouldnt put clear coat on it just good wax.

good luck,
Chris

go to the exalta the former DuPont paint store and ask for the historical paint codes--these code were upgraded to modern formula's. look into some of the Mercedes colors as they have a lot of dark colors with out metallics
