Exhaust/Intake Gasket
I have a fellow Model A'er who is replacing his exhaust/intake gasket. He asked me which side goes towards the engine, but I couldn't tell him because I wasn't familiar with the gasket he has.
It is metal-clad on one side; with an asbestos type material (it is not asbestos, but I couldn't think of another word) on the other side. I am guessing the metal-clad side goes towards the engine. Am I right?

Re: Exhaust/Intake Gasket
Ray is right, the metal goes towards the hot exhaust manifold.

Re: Exhaust/Intake Gasket
Ray & Tom - After I wrote my question, and thought about it for awhile; I came to the realization the metal goes towards the exhaust too.
Thanks for your confirmation,
