Default Info on this Kong Distributor - aprox age?

I found this Kong Distributor and I notice that it appears to be a newer model. It has the lever on the side to advance the timing from the drivers seat, and the badge is brass, where the others ive seen had a red badge that said "Kong Ignitions"

Thoughts?

I noticed that it had the old cap, so that made me think that it may be an old model.

Anyone else with any info or seen one like it?

I had one just like yours, and was told it was from 1950, by Kong himself. He was more interested in where i found it, an was quite surprized when i said garage sale.

The cap on the early units, were from a 1932 Lincoln.

1950 for the brass tag ones
I used several in that era. A couple years later he updated the tag.

I wish I had a better pic of the only Kong ignition that he built for a "B"

He helped me a lot and was a crackup to be with.

Do you or Pete still have your brass tag unit? Would love to find out what number you have on the back of your distributor
