Do you care if it is cast iron or aluminum ? Cast iron will be coming along from our friend Tod Buttermore soon , in the Winfield style with crowsfoot chamber...and in whatever comp ratio that you order/pay for. Right now aluminum Winfield , without fins, is sold by several. As said, they are approx. 7:1 cr.

I was told that the aluminum was better for the engine, really doesn't matter to me.

I have a repo, Dan Price, Thomas 7-1 aluminum head on my somewhat modified B engine in my 30 deluxe delivery. I love it.

We had installed one of these on a town sedan engine about 20 years ago .
We had to modify the tops of the pistons as they were hitting head.
With 5 people and luggage in the car the owner said the car had plenty of power.
The engine had babbitted rods and mains since we had done the engine.
Don't know how the engine held up as he sold the car in a divorce.

I'm in the process of modeling a new version of the Thomas head that will be much better than the one I currently make for Snyder. If enough people are interested, I can make a pattern without the fins.
