Default Roadster Top issues

Hello good morning, summer is finally here and so are all my questions LOL
We picked up a nice ‘30 Roadster last year. The previous owner
Had a new top installed. It was closed properly when we got the car but now it won’t fasten correctly. The two pins that insert into the windshield frame won’t line up. One will go in perfectly but the other one will not. It’s driving me crazy because I know they did at one point. Is their a trick to this I’m missing?😳

Are all the rear snaps fastened, might try loosening them and let the car sit in the hot sun till the top gets warm and soft.
If the side-to-side spacing of the front fasteners are wrong you'll have to make adjustments.

Loosen the wing nuts on the stanchion, insert it in the header hole and tighten the wing nuts back up.

Sometimes those 2 pins can be a problem. Especially if the car is not sitting level. As planojc mentioned, loosen all the nuts on the windshield so that you can move it as needed, then align the 2 pins, then tighten the windshield back up.

Before you tighten the windshield up, now is the time to snap the 5 upper snaps of the soft top to the car. It is easier to get your fingers in there before everything is tight.
