Default 1954 Mercury engine color?

I know it's green but I need more; color name or color code. Is it the same as 52/53 Mercs? Where can I get it? As always, thanks for your insight.

Because of all the regulations on paints, thinners, etc. over the years an old color name or formula may not be as much help as you expect.
Good luck in your search.

If you belong to any merc club, they should be able to answer your question.

Hirsch only shows mercury green as 49-51. But it would probably be worth a call or an email to see if they can help you out.

C&G Ford Parts is where I got the engine paint for mine. They show a light green for Merc flatheads but nothing for a '54. You might give them a call though. https://cgfordparts.com/
