Anyone have an opinion on the billet shocks being sold now?

Re: Billet shocks
Do you have a company name for these shocks?

Re: Billet shocks
Do you mean the Rotoshim shocks?
I’m running a couple of sets. I think Sammy stocks the at Arizona Model A. I was the original test pilot for them. They’re very good indeed. Last edited by Hotrodfil; 03-31-2023 at 01:58 AM. |

Re: Billet shocks
Bratton's has a shock by 'RotFlo'. https://www.brattons.com/ROTOFLO-A2-...tinfo/24901RT/

Re: Billet shocks
Rotoflo shocks were originally made in the UK in the '50s as replacements for Houdaille shocks. There are still originals floating around that show up on the HAMB from time to time. They work differently from the OEM shocks and use a very different fluid medium.
Bratton's sells the replica A2 Rotoflos as linked above, but I don't think I've ever seen any discussion of how well the replicas work or indeed how they function. I think hot rods are the target market. |

Re: Billet shocks
On the same order of magnitude cost-wise as Stipe and Rotoshim. Check with Brentwood Bob (this forum) for rebuilt original Houdailles.
