Thump thump thump
Wondering what the possibilities might be. At low speed 10-15 mph, with the clutch engaged I hear a thump thump thump coming from I think the rear of the car. It stops as soon as I put the clutch in. I feel no vibration at either slow or road speed. What would be the most logical cause? Thanks

I had a similar noise. It turned out to be a bad universal joint.

Thanks everyone. No loose wheels or axle nuts. Will have a look at the inside of the rear end to see if anything is as it should be. It is kinda weird though, Say you are going about 10 - 15 mph just kinda idling along and you can hear the thump but the instant you push the clutch in, the noise stops. I would think a u joint would still make noise. Also there is zero vibration at any speed. Thanks again

Just guessing here. Have yo lubricated the clutch through the top inspection hole recently? Could the throwout bearing or TO bearing hub not be evenly seating? There is a spring on the TOB Hub that may be weak??? Might be able to see something through the bell housing inspection/oiling hole.
