Hi Guy's
I'm repairing my Model A after an unfortunate accident last month. Another car crashed with a 30 miles into my left front wheel. Front axle, spring perch, spring, wishbone, brake pads, brake drum, wheels, clutch housing - all need to be replaced. This is a bit of a challange, as there are no barn finds and only two distributers for Model A parts in Europe. When mounting the Throw Out Hub I recognised that I forgot which side of the Clutch Release Bearing shall face the clutch and which side the Throw Out Hub. The shell of the bearing is split: - Front side and inner side have a rotating ring - Back side and outer shell are fixed What side shell press on the clutch arms? It’s still the original bearing which is in good shape. Apologies for my English – writing from Germany…. Last edited by nuwala; 09-12-2016 at 08:40 AM. |
