1. What type of channel is correct for the plated window frame to slide in on the 1930 68-B Cabriolet? I found a molded felt channel on the door jamb side of mine, but only a metallic channel on the hinge end of the door. And there’s really no room for an insert in the front channel adjacent to the door hinge. So what did Ford use to protect the plated window frame at the front of the door?
2. What type trim screws are correct to hold the horizontal garnish molding on the doors of the 1930 68-B Cabriolet? Are they oval headed sheet metal screws or machine screws? The door metal on mine is so thin you’d be lucky to get two threads tapped for machine screws. |

there is not any felt in the front channel. the front is a guide and the window frame slide up & down in it, Bratton`s has the correct felt for the back of the window frame. the screws are oval head machine screws. I think they are 8/32 there should four nuts in your inner panel that they screw into.

Do you mean there are factory-installed nuts fastened to the underside of the window regulator innner panel? There are none in mine.
