Default Model A roadster pickup basic question

Hi all, I formerly had a Model A Fordor but am interested in a roadster pickup. The last few I've seen for sale indicate the top does not fold down, but instead must be unbolted and removed. Can someone let me know if that was the original design or should roadster pickups have working foldable tops. Thanks much in advance! Tom

Originally the top did not fold. It was not made to go on and off. The back of the top was hard fastened to the back of the cab just above the seat top. The top frame did not fold at all. Check the ride before you buy if you are a tall guy. Not much room in the cab.

Ah,
The correct name is Open Pickup and not Roadster Pickup. Roadster would suggest that the top would fold down.

Thank you, Bob, so much misinformation calling them roadsters.

The 76-A top was not folding or removable, the 76-B top was
not folding but was removable.

Hello, I have a 31 Deluxe Roadster and find it’s easier to just take off top rather fold it down, and hope it doesn’t rain.
