As fashionable as Town Car Deliveries (& Town Cars) were, they were beyond their time after the October 1929 stock market crash. With increasing numbers of the population out of work (soup lines), it wasn't 'polite' to be see in a chauffeur driven vehicle.

From a 1936 newspaper used car ad, '1931 Ford Town Car Delivery $60.'
