LOL. Cummins diesel is much like Kleenex or Windex. Both are proprietary brands but have become so ubiquitous as to have assumed the catchall term for similar brands. Much like Linoleum flooring which is actually vinyl to include all sheet vinyl from other manufacturers. In terms of a motor or an engine the noun is interchangeable. That helps explain why the State has a DMV as opposed to a DEV. Cummins must have done it right for such high esteem.
