Default Inexpensive floor console

I really wanted an inexpensive console for my '30 Town Sedan to put my water bottles and phone somewhere other than the front seat. The consoles specifically designed for Model A's cost $90; way out of my price range. The cup holders at Snyder's and Brattons are $40+ when you add in shipping. I bought this $8.99 console and put it on the floor between the seat and the gear shift. The Hopkins EMIC-BLA fits PERFECTLY! It doesn't interfere with shifing, leg room, or the parking brake. I can keep 2 water bottles in it, some coins, and my phone. I wanted to pass this information along to other A owners that want a place to store drinks without spending a lot of greenbacks. :-)

thanks for passing this 'tiny tip' along to us. with today's modern drivers (i am referring to model a drivers) this little helper is of great assistance to those of us who still have one foot in the modern world.

You're very welcome, Doug. I've learned so much from you and the rest of the Ford Barn gang over the years. It's nice to know that I can contribute in some small way.

I have a hot sauce can screwed to the floor. It's not really a "high points" look but it keeps the hot coffee out of my lap
Like this one:

And it was free after I ate the hot sauce!!

I use the same Hopkins type: available in tan as well. Can fit it over front Slant window seat handle if needed for more space to shift tower

FWIW, in the Inuktitut (Eskimo) language EMIK means water. Is there a connection here?

Hello OD. My wife asked me to thank you, that's exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately I have to deal with Amazon.Ca and their price for the the same item was over $24CAD which is still cheap considering she likes our A as much as I do.

I have one of the cup holders advertised in the national magazines, the one that bolts to the back of the dash rail. It works fine, but it is always in the way of something, and it seems to have all sorts of things gravitate toward it.

Therefore, I ordered one of these from Amazon. Time will tell if it is a replacement or an addition.

O'Reilly $3.98. Two cups and junk space. Two screws to the wood floor. Perfect for the Tudor.

Great tip... i bought one to try it... i did not want anything that needed holes drilled to use or something that gets jammed into the window runs ... beats spilling the coffee,..the adjustable cup holders are a nice feature

My water bottle rides on the seat just fine and the phone stays in my pocket...

Got the same one from the local Wal-Mart, don't remember the price but it was in that $9.00 - $12.00 range. It just sit's on the floor and really doesn't move around much.
They work great

Was gonna say i had the same one that is posted above 10 years ago i got from walmart... I think they still have em. The adjustable cupholders work well, just dont put anything taller than a medium McD's cup in them and hit the brakes hard....

Bring your camera.

Actually I wish I had my camera one time at the Wal Mart parking lot. There was an early 80's GM brand station wagon that was just a skeleton of a car, as 90% of the outer body panels were rusted away. You could see all the window winders and door latch parts, as well as full view of the tires.

Yes, you can screw the console down to the floor. There are 2 recessed areas for screws.
