I'm sure most, if not all, of us watch cars shows on TV. I watch The Velocity Channel. I always saw the ad for Speed Out, so I mentioned I may buy one. The wife saw them in TARGET (I thought they were only available through TV ordering) so she beat me to the punch. It is basically an easy out on steroids.
I wanted to remove the screws from the stantions on my 1929 Roadster. I tried heat, tried big old screwdriver with a wrench, tried PB Blaster, tried the hammer trick of whacking the head after heating....nothing worked so I thought well I've got nothing to lose. The Speed Out has a drill on one end and the gripping part on the other. You use the drill in reverse for both applications. The thing grabbed that screw so hard it almost twisted the drill out of my hands. JUST AN FYI. |

i see thier claim of removing deck screws even if the entire head broke off - i dont see how? now a broken off head of a bolt yea i can see that no prob but a deck screw???
they do look like they would work - glad to hear there's already plenty of "guinea pigs" amongst us - ill have to get a set myself.

How large of a screw or bolt can this tool remove ?
Has anyone broken one off yet like the infamous "Not So East Out" tools. ? |

I bought the Craftsman easy outs several years ago, they should have been called "easily snapped off to make even harder to removes". If these really work, I need a set!
