I don't think the Mac Plus is that rare. Quite a few on e-pay. It's kind of like the Ford Model A. Apple made a million of them.
Some of the earlier ones are rare, like the Lisa or Apple I. This Mac has sentimental value to me though. I was going through Cancer therapy when I bought it and I like to think learning how to use it helped me take my mind off of "things".
