I took the 12v One wire alternator out And had it repaired / before I would have to Jazz the RPMS up to excite the alternator to start charging.
Then when the rpm got down to 1000 It would not charge and some times have to be Jazzed up to starting again. I was going to have a 24V stator put in @ GM suggested But the guy at the shop Suggested I just change the regulator to one that does not have to be Jazzed up. Works great @ 1000 RPM is still charging. So its no more jazz for me I am thinking of trying the BLUES ![]() ![]() I found a very good Generator / Alternator / Starter guy in TURNERS FALLS MASS. |
