Funny al's28/33 mentioned "Joining of the Rails". I'm planning to drive the old railroad bed from Promontory Point where the rails were joined 90 miles west almost to Nevada next month (May). We'll be driving through what's left of the ghost town of Kelton shown at the south end of the Boise-Kelton stage line map. That's one I've been wanting to do for a few months but weather was too bad. It's all dirt road.
