I am about ready to install the radiator splash apron on my 28 model A. I have the standard repro felt available from parts suppliers. I want to make sure the felt is the same thickness as the original felt. I have found many repro items are not made like the original items. I have an original splash apron that still has the felt riveted to it. It is thinner than the repro felt. The reason might be that it wore down over the years, but maybe not. If anyone has installed repro felt on the apron, would you post a response about how it fit. I don't want to rivet the felt onto the apron and then have the radiator shell bulge out too much because the felt is too thick and I don't want to cut it down if it is not necessary.
