Hey Purdy,
I took the original ford cowl band off of my '30 roadster and put it away somewhere, as it had small area that should be made perfect if you wanted to use it and I didn't and don't know that repair work.
As my car is a driver, I've thot of ordering such band...but wondered how in the world such a flimsy/delicate piece of equipment could be shipped WITHOUT DAMAGE
