Default Unknown connector

I got the connector shown below in a box of NOS parts some time back. I think the fellow I bought it from told me what it was used for, but I forgot. I have attached two picture of it below. The connector is 1" long and 3/8" in diameter and is made of a hard composite material like used in headlight connector plugs. It has a hole on one end that accepts a wire with a "bullet" style connector on it (top of first picture). The other end has a set screw to fasten a stripped wire into the connector (second picture). If anyone knows what the connector is used for, please post a response. I don't know if I need one on my car or not. Thanks for any help identifying this part.
