Hi all,

I know this should probably go in the Late V8 section, but I figured you guys would know:

Is the VIN for the '54 Mercury stamped anywhere on the frame? I have a Sun Valley that's missing the data plate, and would like to be able to check the numbers off the title. I checked the usual Ford spot, close to the steering boc on the top of the frame's c-channel, but didn't see anything.

If anyone can think of other areas to look, I'd appreciate it. I checked the manual and they don't mention anything other than the Data plate in the door jamb, which is gone now.
