Default Engine Stand for Model A

Looks like I will be pulling my engine for some repair work. I need to get an engine stand that is Model A friendly and does not cost an arm and a leg. Any recomendations?

Also do I need the adapter that bolts to the water outlet and 2 pan bolts? or will the engine safely bolt up at the end of the block like a V8. Is the adapter a convience or a safety requirement? If needed, who makes the blue one that I see in some members pictures that has tubing vs a flat plate for more access to the block?

I know that some use Harbor Freight stuff but when it comes to things like engine stands and cherry pickers I must admit that I am gun shy on using cheap chinese products.

Thanks for the advise.
