Adventures with old cars.
Put in a new transmission. Fixed the clamshell on the u joint. Took care of various ignition issues. Went for a ride, about 50 miles both ways. Really hot day at least 90 degrees. No issues on the way out. Car ran decent no overheating issues. A bit warmer on the way back,95 degrees. Filled tank with premium. No hot start issues. After about 30 miles car still ran well, but had a slight Back Fire a few times but still ran well. Considering how hot it was both outside and inside the car. The only issue so far is that I am almost as old as the car. 1940 Ford Tudor Deluxe. Happy Motoring Roger |
