Default alternatives for the OEM 1941 fuel pump

any viable mechanical fuel pump alternatives to this one? i might soon be in the market...

i thought this one looked promising, assuming the bowl didn't get the way of anything. that is until i called one of the well-known flathead parts sites that offered an original reproduction at one time that is longer available and told me there was no alternative WRT something new other than an electric pump.
