Installed the military marker lights on the front fenders of my 42 Mercury US Army staff car. Removed the fender trim piece and used the center hole so didn't have to drill. Keeping trim pieces if someone down the road wants to put this car back stock. These lights were used to allow the vehicle to be seen by other vehicles in convoy or by civilians, not to illuminate the road, those were black out lights.
