While browsing through the July 1, 1931 Parts Price List, I just discovered that the US Tire Gauge A-18413-A1 and the Schrader Tire Gauge A-18413-A2 are listed as accessories and not tool kit items. I was under the impression the tire pressure gauges were tool kit items. They are not! The car tool kit items have part numbers from A-17005-A through A-17125.
So the Tool Kit contains Tire Pump Assembly A-17052-A! Then how was the tire pressure measured without a pressure gauge in the kit? Did they pump the tire tires until they looked good? Those accessory tire pressure gauges cost a $1.50 each and that was a hefty price back in 1931. What are your thoughts?
