Default 1953 F100 Overdrive help needed

I received a message from a fellow in Connecticut who wants to put an overdrive into his 1953 F100. According to him it has a 239 V8 and 3 speed.

I don't know anything about 1953 pickups or overdrive units. Does can anyone help him with this project? Just let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.
