A good number of posts ago I asked about a source of jute packing for my '41 Merc floor, the floor pan is in excellent shape, but the jute was stuck to the paint and did not survive well, though I could have reused it.
Here is what I did instead, I got a piece of 1/4 inch underlayment and cut to fit, using the jute for a pattern. I painted it black incase it was visible at the edges or between the floor mats. I also put it under the rear seat area as additional sound barrier. Did not paint this as not visible. attached a couple of pics. Tried to, downloaded them earlier, now cannot find! I am missing John's daily progress on his '42. TomC750
