Removing/replacement flywheel
I was watching YouTube where someone was investigating a clonk in his transmission . Turned out even though the 4 bolts where wired they were finger tight , To investigate he removed the flywheel a laboured job, I thought he might drop it on his toes !!! . Trick is to remove the bolts at 3 and 9 o,clock then screw in the long head studs (water neck end) the thread is the same at the fine thread end . Remove the other two bolts and slide the flywheel off. You can get a hand on each side of the flywheel nice and safe to lower it down or lift up . He did not check the condition of the dowels or the crankshaft threads . I suspect it might loose off again . I know the vast majority of the " Barners" know this trick but just in case some dont . You wont bend the studs ,trust me !!!
