54 Mercury Fuel pump question
Removed the old fuel pump today. Pretty obvious it was bad after I got it off.
Took awhile to get the new correct one back on. There are two vacuum ports at the bottom of the pump, for what I gather is the wiper system. Can anyone advise how to block these ports off?? I have no plans on connecting to vacuum wipers at this time. Can anyone advise what the old pump was really for?? Don't think it was for a 256 engine. Old on the left photo-new pump on the right.
