Default Loadomatic Dizzy with Edelbrock Carb

I have a rebuilt stock yblock in a 57 country sedan wagon. I'll be putting in a ford 4 barrel intake (ECZ-9425-B) along with a 1403 Edelbrock carb with electric choke. I purchased a CRT Pro Series electronic distributor but quickly found out that the body of the dizzy is too wide and is up against the firewall preventing me from putting the cap on.

I've decided to go with a PerTronix setup but I'm wondering if I can use the loadomatic dizzy or is that not compatible with the 1403 Edelbrock because the dizzy is vacuum only? Or should I rebuild my 57 dizzy with the PerTronix so I have both vacuum and mechanical?

Thanks for the help!
