I have added the photograph of a very early rad shell owned by a friend and Model A Judge. The tooling for this, was probably sent to Canada in 1927 by Ford U.S.A.. Canada started production of the Model A in 1928 and tended to lag American time lines to various degrees. They also made changes to parts to keep me busy researching!

The shell tooling could have been used in U.S.A. first then sent to us or made specifically for Canada. Still researching.

You can see the two slots in the shell that correspond to the two tabs on the back of the emblem. The owner has seen one of these shells complete with a Canadian emblem mounted on it but not any U.S. as of yet.

If you have any information or photographs on this early piece, please post here.
