Default 36 passenger door fitment

This forum has been invaluable to me so far. Lots of great advice. I now have a new question on my recently purchased 36 4 door sedan convertible.
How can I adjust the front passenger door forward? It does not sag and lines up nicely horizontally. But the door sticks badly on on B pillar. You can’t even open it from the inside. It looks like back edge of the door is hitting the latch plate and the screws are turned in as much as they will go. File off some of the height on the latch plate? Thanks!
