Default Sisson Electrimatic Choke on a Ford?

I had seen reference to a Sisson Automatic Choke in a book on model A's when I was a teenager. I even had the librarian make a copy for me and I still have it. The other night I googled 'Sisson Automatic Choke' and it took me to ebay and this one in the box for 10.00, couldn't click on 'buy it now' fast enough. Listing said Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge. I had always wondered if it might be the work of my grandfather, Benjamin Burliegh Sisson who had the Ford agency in Wareham Mass until his death in 1928. My dad was only one year old at that time so neither of us knew him. Google says the patent was in 1938, but from my old ad they were available for the A. Has anyone used the type I have on one of our V8s or an H six?
