Default Dash knob replacement

Really down in the weeds but whoever restored my car used a mixture of parts. I believe the correct color for a 1941 is ivory but my dash knobs (throttle, lights, hood, choke, wiper) are a mixture of ivory and brown.

I see reproduction ivory knobs for sale at C&G Ford parts but I don't understand how to replace them.

How do I replace them?

Everything works fine and that's more important to me than 'correct' knobs. A loose knob would be an order of magnitude more annoying than an 'incorrect' knob that fits right. I've already deviated a bit from original for other reasons so it's not like these are the last 5 points I need to win a restoration award.

Nevertheless, it's mildly annoying to have two different colors of knobs.

One consideration: it's a low priced Ford Special, the stripped down car. It does use some leftover 1940 parts. Maybe knobs are one of them? I don't think brown is the right color for 1940 either though. I could make up a story but that's no fun.
