Default Chicle and Copra colors

Here are scans of the Chicle Drab and Copra Drab from the 4th edition of the MAFCA Paint & Finish Guide (top) and the Ditzler Repaint Manual from 1970 (bottom). The Ditzler colors have too much green compared to the MAFCA colors. The Ditzler colors were formulated by converting the original formulas for the nitrocellulose paint to the Ditzler acrylic lacquer paint. It is likely that the conversion was not done directly. There could have been several conversion, one for each time a new paint system was introduced. The MAFCA colors were made by matching the colors on original nitrocellulose paint chips and/or parts with original non faded parts.

In my opinion the upper brownish colors are very close to the original colors and would look better on a Model A. If you like the green ones that is your choice.
