Default They don't make them like they used to

This is just a fun post. My brother and I quit working on the 32 roadster back in our youth. The last run was either 79 or 80, so over 40 years. All the odds and ends parts went into boxes and sat in the car in one barn or another for 40+years.

Getting back into the project this year, we pulled a lot of stuff out of the boxes. This included recently the red marker in the photo. On a whim, my brother popped the top and ran it over a piece of paper. It worked like the day it was made. How many of today's markers would sit through over 40 years of summer and winter in the NE in a building with no climate control and still work. Most can't make it a year in my desk. Sure, the old ones might have a 1 in 10,000 chance of increasing your risk of cancer, if you ate it. But they sure have staying power.
