Default 35-36 Engine pans

I am working on a 1936 Ford touring two door sedan, all my air deflector panels were missing when I purchased the car. I have sense bought and installed the lower grill pannel and the one below the radiator. How important are the engine pans that go between the engine and frame rails? I imagine they are all important for proper cooling air flow. Thanks!
