Default 1933-34 battery box

here are pictures of a new battery box ( I bought from drake when he stoped making new batterys ) I used as a PLUG for mold so as I could make fiberglass battery box.
Picture #6 12 v battery in my 1933 roadster in my box
#1 what you see from under (1934 4 door )
#2 my box (gold) next to drake box
#3 what you have to do to original battery box (drake) to fit optma battery
#4 optma battery in (drake ) battery box
#5 optma battery in my battery box
NOTE : this is an old optma battery . I think the new ones are taller now.
I now change my 1933-34 fords to 12v batteries. (WHY ? )
I have more than one car.
the cars start better ---better lights---I buy reconditioned and new eceno power batteries ( between $45 & $75 )
very easy to change to 12 v (I use original generator with cut out-- generator charges 12v battery just fine ) I drove my 1933 roadster to grand national meet in 1983 (and many other meets )
I use original coil ( I just add a resistor to original resistor) I use 65 mustang resistor (must keep it FORD )
change all light bulbs
easy to change back --- + or - ground --- I keep battery tenders on most of the time.
