Default Fuel pump stand with small pinholes usable?

My fuel pump stand has some pitting and a few tiny pin holes in the steel tube that goes down into the intake. It was lightly media blasted. The metal is still solid, but will the small holes be a problem? Could it lead to excessive smoke out of the breather? Should I just start looking for another in better shape?

Application is a 221 in a '40.
