1939 Ford Standard Shock Absorber Links

So have removed rear shock absorbers for a rebuild. There is a guy locally here in NZ who does these.
In the process have removed the shock absorber links, which are worn at rubber bushes. The ones I removed are 4". P/N: 78-18055-A.
Are these the correct length i should be fitting?
As the 99A-18055-A are 4.75" and are from Mercury.
Then there are the 3" length ones??
