Default 1930 Tudor door dovetails

Hello,
I was trying to reduce the number of rattles in my car and I realized the female dovetails in the doors of my Tudor are basically missing. All I have is an opening that is open and does not hold onto the male part of the dovetail. This allows the door to rattle more that it should.

Here is my question....It looks like I will have to take the door apart to get to the inside of the door to repair the female dovetail...Is my assessment correct?
If so, is repairing the inside of the door a difficult task? This is one area I have not explored on my model A.

Thank you....
